URBAN BARK
PROJECT
description
Inaugurated in 2017 for the 375th anniversary of Montreal, Guido Nincheri Park takes part in the redevelopment project of the Botanical Garden surroundings, acting as a symbolic gateway to the Living Space (Botanical Garden, future Insectarium, Biodome and Planetarium). Thus, the park embodies the formal codes of life using a long tree bark split on all its length as the main frame of the project.
IMPACT
of light
Using the theme of life, through length and horizontality, the lighting highlights the natural shapes of the parc. It gently appears upon nightfall as it converges to the poles of socialization where it illuminates the artwork of Jean-Robert Drouillard.
USER
experience
The natural ripples and features of the parc invite by-passers into a new space, a new architecture. With the added luminous effects, the fall of night creates a warm and immersive environment.
